Type Locality and Naming
The suites were delineated by N.G. Vlasov and I.V. Pyzyanov (Vlasov, 1961, 1963). Middle formation in Namurian Gr.

Lithology and Thickness
(2000 m), composed of characteristic "spectacle" tuffs, tuff-breccias, in which the rock fragments are light green in color, cemented by dark green tuff cement. The rock fragments in the tuff-breccias are represented by plagioclase and pyroxene. Rhyolites are encountered. In places, there are lenses (10 - 100 m) of greenish-gray lava breccias, tuffaceous rocks, acidic tuffs, and limestones.

In the middle part of the section (Ushkarv Fm) (ушхарвская свита) Visean-Serpukhovian corals Carcinophyllum (?) cf. septentrionale Gorsky; Lonsdaleia cf. tenuicolumnata Dobrol., L. cf. elegans Dobrol.; foraminifers Bradyina cf. cribrostomata Raus. et Reitl., Archaediscus vischerensis Grozd. et Leb., A. aff. conveksus Grozd. et Leb., Asterodiscus baschkiricus (Theod. et Krest.) are found.
